Occupational Health is responsible for the provision of advice on health policies and environmental health hazards, health promotion and supervision, health surveillance of special groups and a confidential counselling service.
Our mission is to promote and support a culture where the physical and psychological health of staff, students and others involved in the College is respected, protected and improved whilst at work.
Occupational Health is staffed by registered health practitioners alongside a team of support staff who provide a confidential service to staff and students at the College.
This means that personal information is treated in medical confidence, and not passed on unless the staff or student gives their consent. Your information is kept strictly confidential, more information on how we manage your data can be found on our privacy notice.
Where we are
The service is based at South Kensington Campus. Access to the department is from Level 2 Walkway next to Santander Bank.

We provide specialist advice in the following areas to support staff and students in the College
Information for anyone working with computers including advice on workstation equipment
Information on fitness assessment referrals including guidance for staff and line managers
Information for first year medical students and those planning an elective in their final year
Information for pregnant and new mothers at work including guidance on workplace hazards and risk management
Travel health advice for staff and students travelling on College business (e.g. conferences, research or field trips)
Well person screening
Information on our comprehensive health screening for all permanent staff, aged 50 years and over
Working with animals
Information for staff, students, academic visitors working with animals who may be exposed to animal allergens whilst undertaking animal work
Working with insects
Information for staff, students, academic visitors working with insects who may be at risk of developing allergic reactions
