Through The Hub, you’ll also have access to a variety of interactive learning activities such as video content, live sessions, discussions, polls and case studies, and you’ll be able to download, edit, annotate and share files and notes in a simple and effective way.

You’ll belong to time zone based virtual syndicates and will be expected to undertake some group work and ‘live presentations’ and interactions with academics to provide some of the classroom experience of an MBA. Importantly, you’ll also have quick access to feedback from tutors no matter the time or your location.

Study programme

You’ll complete a number of pre-session modules to ensure you have the basic knowledge and skills required for the programme. You will complete these modules before commencing the programme.

There are eight core modules carefully designed for online learning. Each module provides you with a solid grounding in business theory and practice.

In year two, you will choose a number of elective modules which allow you to specialise in an area of particular interest or explore new avenues. You’ll spend a minimum of three weeks’ on campus meeting your classmates and building a truly global network. This develops a sense of community within your cohort and combines the best of online and on-campus learning.

You’ll also complete a final individual project and will develop specialised expertise by researching a real business issue.

Unlike many online MBAs, Imperial’s Global Online MBA also offers a full careers support package. The combination of your enhanced professional skills and strong understanding of business will ensure you can pursue senior level managerial positions.

The Imperial Global Online MBA combines innovative thinking and insight with new technology to develop practical solutions to real world issues, benefiting business and improving society. In undertaking the Imperial Global Online MBA, you are undertaking an online MBA from a top-ranked, world-class STEM institution with global recognition that will equip you with the tools to achieve your career goals.

The Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Design Module provides you with a practical opportunity to apply and integrate what you’ve learnt in Year 1 and enables you to think more strategically when faced with the challenges of bringing new ideas to market.

During this two-week project at the start of your second year, you will work on campus in groups. Working in a team of students with complementary skills and personalities, you will generate ideas about how to make this company grow and make a business case about how to proceed with the project as a business, either stand alone or within the company.

The final project is an essential part of the Global Online MBA experience.

You submit a report of up to 15,000 words for assessment.

It must have a critical, evaluative or analytical element, and add value by creating something new in terms of method, application, ideas and knowledge.

For more information about the course structure, including comprehensive descriptions of each component, please see Imperial College Business School's website.
