MARS: Membership & Accredited Recognition Scheme

The Graduate school has launched a scheme called MARS, Membership Accreditation and Recognition Scheme, whereby postgraduate students can achieve Registered Scientist status, full Membership of a Professional Body or Chartered status.

MARS was co-founded by Dr Alastair McIntosh and Dr Janet De Wilde. Dr Alastair McIntosh is now an adviser to the scheme. The current directors are Dr Janet De Wilde and Dr Paul Seldon

Currently the scheme is only open to postgraduate students to achieve designations and membership at the Royal Society of Chemistry.

However we are working closely with Royal Society of Biology and the Institute of Physics.
